Books we point people to
The God Who Leads. Lessons from Joshua.
Life is full of battles — fear, doubt, temptation, the unknown. Like Israel standing at the Jordan, we hesitate, forgetting that God has already promised victory. This is a verse-by-verse walk through the book where He proves it.

The God Who Leads is a study in Joshua by Drew Rogers. It takes the book in order, verse by verse, and asks what God’s leadership of Israel means for somebody standing at their own Jordan on a Tuesday.
That’s the same way we handle Scripture here — through a book rather than around it, letting the text set the agenda instead of the calendar. Which is why it’s on this page.
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9).
What you get out of it
Four things, in the publisher’s words.
01
Courage for today's battles
Learn to move forward when life feels overwhelming.
02
Confidence in God's promises
See how His Word gives strength and stability.
03
Clarity in following God's leadership
Understanding what it means to walk by faith, not sight.
04
Hope for what's ahead
Be encouraged that God fights for you, just as He fought for His people.
Read it with people
Joshua goes better in a group.
A book of the Bible read in order, out loud, with a few other people asking what it says and what it means — that’s most of what our Bible studies in Big Rapids are. If you want to work through Joshua with somebody instead of alone, that’s the door.
There’s a companion volume on prayer as well — The God Who Hears, twenty-six chapters, A to Z.
How we handle Scripture, and why we preach through books rather than around them, is on the beliefs page. Where the whole thing is headed is on the vision page.
