What we collect. And what we don’t.
Most privacy policies are written so that nobody reads them. This one is written so you can. If something here is unclear, email us and we'll answer plainly.
The short version
You give it, we keep it, nobody buys it.

We collect two things: what you type into a form on this site, and anonymous numbers about how pages get used. We use the first to talk to you and the second to know which pages are worth writing more of. We do not sell either one, and we never will.
If you want your information gone, email dillon@bigrapids.church and say so. We’ll delete it and tell you when it’s done. You don’t need a reason.
What you hand us
Information you type in.
The interest form on this site asks for your first name and email address. It also has optional boxes for your phone number and the town you live in. Nothing else is required, and the optional boxes are genuinely optional.
That information goes into our contact system, which is hosted by a company called GoHighLevel. They store it for us; they don’t get to use it for anything of their own. We tag each entry with which page you came from and which town you named, so that when we announce something local we’re not emailing people two counties away about it.
We use it to send you occasional updates about TheWay — a service time when there is one, a Bible study starting, that sort of thing. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you gave a phone number, we may text you about the same things, and STOP works the way it does everywhere.
If you email or call or text us directly, we keep that conversation the way anybody keeps their email and their texts.
What gets measured
Numbers about pages, not about you.
This site uses Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to count how many people read each page, roughly where in the world they are, and which links they click. That tells us whether an article was worth writing. It is not tied to your name, and we never look up an individual person in it — the reports we read are counts, not lists.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do its counting. If you’d rather it didn’t, your browser’s privacy settings can block it, and Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on that turns it off everywhere. The site works fine either way.
One more small thing: if you dismiss the pop-up about our apps, the site remembers that in your own browser so it stops asking. That note never leaves your device and never reaches us.
Who else sees it
A short list, and no one else.
The companies that run the pieces of this site can see the data those pieces handle: Vercel hosts the site, GoHighLevel holds the contact list, and Google processes the analytics. That’s the whole list.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or hand over your information to anybody else — not to other churches, not to advertisers, not to anyone building a mailing list. The only exception would be a law that leaves us no choice, and if that ever happened we’d tell you unless we were forbidden to.
What you can ask for
Ask and it’s done.
Email dillon@bigrapids.church or call or text +1 231-279-1900 and ask us to show you what we have on you, correct it, or delete it. We’ll do it. There is no form and no waiting period beyond however long it takes a person to read the email.
We keep what you gave us until you ask us to remove it, or until it’s clear the address is dead. We don’t knowingly collect anything from children under 13.
If we change this policy we’ll change the date at the top. Material changes get an email to the list rather than a quiet edit.
